Alex Lievens, Project Designer
Prior to graduating from Syracuse University School of Architecture with a B.Arch. degree and joining JZA+D as a project designer, Alexander Lievens held architectural internships in Belgium and Italy. In Europe, he supported multiple architects and projects with a diversity of programmatic concerns, including public housing, residential and mixed-use projects. Alex is adept in model making, freehand perspective drawing, and many artistic media.
With JZA+D, Alex has worked on projects of all scales, from single-family residential additions, to a 3-acre pool deck renovation for the Sands Venetian Hotel. Alex is also a pianist, and he designed a pipe organ for his architectural thesis project, "A Case for the Musical Tectonic."
