A complete interior redesign and conversion of this 1730s New Castle, Delaware home into a 6,000 square foot Bed & Breakfast – later named as a Top 10 East Coast B&B by Bon Appétit. The unique challenge JZA+D faced resided in accommodating the new “hospitality” usage of the home while maintaining its historical context.
In addition to overhauling the kitchen, replacing the windows, and redesigning the entryway, a key change was the reconfiguration of three original full bathrooms into six – dedicating one to every guest room. JZA+D also selected historically accurate furnishings and created a new logo for the inn.
