The Plank House was designed to look as if it were floating. The open floor plan and floor to ceiling windows at the front and rear foster a light and airy appearance. Exterior rooms and green roof terraces further this look, and in doing so, create a transitive, indoor/outdoor living experience while the side walls allow for privacy from the neighbors.

Terracotta, wood, and metal are used to give the house a natural look to stay aligned with its surroundings while juxtaposing with the dynamic, modern form that makes this house seem to defy gravity. Energy efficient systems and sustainable technology ensure green living – a necessity for the modern family who would occupy the Plank House.
