Julia Compton

Associate, AIA | NCARB

Julia Compton is an Associate at JZA+D with experience in a variety of project types and locations. Prior to joining the JZA+D team, Julia lived throughout the East Coast and worked at architectural firms in Massachusetts, North Carolina and Pennsylvania. Julia earned her Bachelor of Architecture as well as her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Rhode Island School of Design.

As a registered architect, Julia works through all phases of the design process. Her experience includes hospitality, residential, commercial and cultural projects. With JZA+D Julia has worked on an array of projects including Sinai Temple in Illinois and Scarsdale Synagogue in New York, The Dam Residence in Princeton, and The Frank Advertising building in East Windsor, New Jersey.

Having lived in a variety of regions from the Midwest to the big cities of the East Coast, Julia has gained an appreciation for the care and sensitivity invested in a town’s specific architectural vernacular. When Julia is not in the office, she enjoys road trips with her husband and their German Shepherd, Remy. Together, they travel, hike, swim, and soak in as much of their bucolic Pennsylvania town as possible.
