JZA+D collaborated with the chain’s interior designer, LVR Studio, to renovate a 2,300-square-foot street-level retail space in the heart of Princeton’s Nassau Street district. JZA+D brought to bear its considerable retail and hospitality experience, developing “Instagramable” moments and space for community members to share information. A cutaway on a section of the counter to makes room for a point-of-service beverage case, and stools along the service counter provide additional seating. The project team additionally resolved several life-safety egress issues, specifying HVAC system upgrades, and integrating fire separation materials between the store and the apartments above. Outside, JZA+D reclad the façade of the building, coordinating with the evolution of the brand identity.
