As part of a major update of the Princeton Shopping Center, owner EDENS wanted to refresh the main facade of the town’s community-focused, regional supermarket. A new warm natural palette predominates in the updated design, which simplifies the elevation back to the original “Mid-century Modern” style, removing extraneous synthetic stucco moldings and trim. The store’s main vestibule facing the parking area is reconfigured, the canopy height is increased, and new lighting, cedar siding, and soffit provide a significantly warmer customer experience.

Shoppers approach the remodeled entrance on new concrete paving, while an enlarged planted area in front of the entrance highlights the store’s fresh and natural offerings. The project includes new canopies, a black aluminum storefront system, and decorative planters to enhance the entrance facade. The facade renovation predominantly features horizontal red cedar wood siding (FSC certified as sustainably sourced), above a concrete tile wall base.
