On a 2 million-SF campus owned by Boston Properties, JZA+D provided architectural design for renovating key shared amenity spaces at 506 Carnegie Center. A 9,600-USF renovation dramatically reconfigured the cafe's dining areas, servery, existing kitchen, and back-of-house areas. Multiple zones for dining, lounging, and private functions offer diverse seating options in an open floor plan, allowing a view of the servery line and food display. A redesigned vestibule leads out to an expanded outdoor patio area with a new gazebo bar and trellis structure over a bar and grill. The landscape design reinvigorates existing planting areas with new outdoor lighting and diverse vegetation, and modifies existing walking paths to better delineate outdoor seating areas.
