Located on the southern end of the park with expansive views of Singapore, Malaysia and the Pacific Ocean, the 57th level of the Marina Bay Sands resort and casino is comprised of a grand Skypark with pools, sitting areas, observation decks and dining areas. JZA+D provided complete architecture and design services for the 300-seat restaurant, bar, and lounge.
Accentuated by glass panels with embedded photographic images, a sleek setting was created with floating ceiling panels with several chandeliers framed by a drop ceiling cutout to create visual movement through the space. Flowing fins wrap around the kitchen and open up to expose a 2,000 bottle wine storage, then transitioning the back-of-house elements into a “special feature”. The 3,000 SF outdoor terrace, which wraps around the restaurant, was transformed into a stylish seating area where guests can enjoy Sky on 57’s cuisine while experiencing amazing ocean and city views, from dawn to dusk.
